About Myself
Here's me—I'm Robert Lloyd Wheelock, and I now live in Augusta, Maine, U. S. A..  Since my favorite fruit flavor is lemon-lime, and that's usually a bright neon green, it's the color of my lovely PVC jockey's-cap raincoat.  I especially love to wear its 'bubboly' (more about this unusual spelling later on) visored rainhood on!!
After seeing scores of my fellow school students back in Gardiner (when I went to school—which was up until the 7th grade during much of the 1970s) wearing these nicely-hued slickers (creating a nice sea of multicolored rainhoods), that compelled me to shop for one myself; I finally bought mine back in 1976 (when I was about to enter the 5th grade at what was then O. C. Woodman Middle School (that building's gone now...).  That slicker—bought at what was Farrell's clothing shop (next door to one called The Village Shop, on Water Street in Augusta, during that time)—was in a large size (18) that had fit me near perfectly at that time—but no longer, though.

Behind My Website
This website (MY FAVORITE RAINCOAT) was created to provide folks who either had—or are still wearing—a jockey's-cap rain slicker (the usual generic name for this rain jacket style) like those manufactured by Swell-Wear Industries of New York City (in its Rainskins product line), or by Aquarex of Norway.
It's a family-oriented website about these raincoats (unlike the scores of other rainwear-related websites, which contain at least some indecency); therefore—I'd only like to have pictures that are wholesome and family-approved (none of that indecent whorry, Playboyesque crap here, now...)
This lovely raincoat style was (and probably still is) a most-cherished, most-worn item in a school student's wardrobe collection—grown-ups even like to wear 'em, too.

Why The Description Is Written BUBBOLY?!
When this website opened, I originally used this adjective (bubbly) in its original, correct spelling; however, it left something to be desired more in my description of certain features within this raincoat style (like the hood).  Also, bubbly (in its usual spelling) also conjures up other ideas (sexual, champagne, soda pop, ... .); I decided to modify the spelling a wee bit—by inserting an o (to suggest more its nice, wholesome roundish look and feel, and to describe more adequately the generous shape of the rainhood) between the 3rd b and the l, making the word now spelled as bubboly.

·Brenda Sue Smith, my lovely girlfriend of way back—She still appreciates me as a very close friend of hers, and would approve of me wearing a green rainhood to beautify myself whenever I venture out on rainy days.  My mom and I might have picked you up (to drop you off at someplace) during a previous year's Youth Convention (on a Memorial Day Weekend that year, in the Bangor-Brewer area); you even carried your pink jockey's-cap rainslicker.  I wished that you'd had it on, with your hood up.  Please send me a message soon (e-mail link on this website)—I've been missing you... .
·Chrystal (Austin) Violette, another fellow Dirigere Christian Academy (of Augusta) student—You looked very pretty that rainy spring Friday morning in that watermelon bubble-gum pink slicker; I even liked how you put its rainhood visor into that lovely bubboly pouf softly resting just above your eyes—very mellow!  Congratualtions on giving me the idea to pouf forward my rainhood's visor.
·Debbie (Whynot), a fellow student from schools in Gardiner—You looked very lovely in that raspberry blue rainjacket that one afternoon while walking home from what was then Central Street School (it's vacant now...).  You even wore your blue rainhood—it was the right idea you had (it made your head looking graceously lovely), although it wasn't raining that afternoon.
·Jeanette (Buckmmore), another Gardiner fellow student who was also a close neighbor (who lived on an adjacent street from mine at that time)—That cherry red slicker you wore—with your rainhood firmly on and in-place—really complemented your looks; you looked your best in it.
·Kelly (Faunce), another fellow student who attended the same Gardiner schools as I did—Your stately feminine body frame and looks, even your then-nicely-styled brown pagegirl hair, said it all for you back then.  You looked more lovely when you wore your nice lemonade yellow slicker—I only wished you'd worn your nice bubboly hood on a bit more, though... .
·Lynne (Merrill) Stephens, the wife of the Assistant Pastor at my local United Pentecostal Church here in Augusta (at the very end of my street)—you've graceously stuck it out with your green slicker for as long as you did.  I do hope you'd pass the slicker on to some other well-deserving friend who'd like to have it to wear.
