Marlene's off to school
donning her green riding hood rainslicker. There goes Marlene,
donning a 'bubboly' visored hood in her lemon-lime green'Cape Cod'
style rainslicker, off to a nice day at her school; she's got a nice
pink sweater (and her school clothes, and nice hairdo) underneath the
slicker. Slickers like
this one above were on sale at clothing and department stores until the
mid 1980s.
Gleefully waiting for the
school bus on a rainy morning. Dressed
for success at school, these 3 daughters all have their raincoats on
(with hoods up, of course...) while waiting for their school
bus on a rainy morning. Kelly's in lemon-lime green, Suzy's
wearing lemonade yellow, and Robbi's donning watermelon bubble-gum
pink—all with their 'bubboly' riding rainhoods gracing their
heads, with visors dipping down towards their cute eyes. They
happened to have worn long skirts and boots that day. They
were found in a back-to-school sale flyer for Bradlee's in August of
1976.
